ive barely even started on his soulmaking dharma stuff, so far its been his jhana retreats and his book, the seeing that frees 's most recent episode with Catherine McGee is about soul-making dharma , so check that out as well

meditation isn't about 'being in the present moment' either

Replying to @m_ashcroft and @joyurge
recently read about this in 'seeing that frees'- it can be helpful to investigate our attachment to the concept of the 'present moment' as a thing that can be clung to. its existence is inferred by the past and future, which are empty. there is nothing to lose! blew me away ngl

it ever ceases to amaze me- how many subtle attitudes and questions i have are expressed and answered in burbeas lectures. he's so good at explaining how an experience is for him, then immediately explaining how it is for others (and that both ways are legitimate)

he does ramble a bit, so reading him talking can be a bit much. but there is so much value in his words- he 'says what were all thinking' and then gives u like 5 different experimental approaches to play around with on a single idea. he covers every angle
