FYI: chrome custom search engines recently stopped working the usual way (with space bar), the new replacement is tab, but you can restore the old behavior by disabling chrome://flags/#omnibox-keyword-search-button

thanks to having done this it is now more effortless for me to find and QT my old thread where i describe why i like using custom search engines to search for tweets

you seriously will not understand how much better having custom search engines for tweets makes twitter until you use them long enough to search reflexively w/o thinking. in chrome go to settings -> manage search engines -> add, then add a search engine like this
