i tried playing FF9 a few years ago and couldn’t get into it. too much guide-dang-it. i might play FFX with the japanese dub, i hear the english dub is... inconsistent

aw sad times. i’ve finished, in order, 8, 6, and 4. lots of deep fond nostalgia for 8 although i replayed it recently and broke it into tiny pieces by fully abusing card mod so i feel pretty done with it
turns cards into items, actually one of the most broken components of the game lol

with card mod you can junction 100 triples to squall's attack before the second mission (win and mod the quistis card) which, together with a reasonable hp junction and limit breaks, trivializes almost every boss fight the entire rest of the game; i started feeling bad for them
