This seems to be the case. Insecure attachment may fit into this broader category. But adhd-style symptoms also arise from the use of drugs and their withdrawal particularly.

I think that attachments are addictions and insecure attachments are unfulfilled addictions that one can fulfill by supplementing drugs.
