Can we come up with a new label that just refers to "people who were super pissed off about the whole NYT-SSC thing" and just have that be the Schelling-identity that unites rats and postrats?

I'm confused about what is or isn't a rat, post-rat, rat-adj. If I have a lot of similarities with members of these groups, isn't that sorta membership? I only dabbled in SSC and found the sequences kinda boring (maybe bc I'm old/exp?) *wondering about your non rat claim*

Just finished the QC podcast, and I had to keep holding myself back from chiming in with my own resonant experiences even though the conv is like a week old ๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ™„ *wonder if part of it is me having grown up near Berkeley*

A bit in Boston too, eh? My thinking was that the rationalist social scene you described had a Bay Area / East Bay / Berkeley vibe My MD experience (see bio pic for clue) was certainly life altering. I like to think in a good way, but certainly non-typical rationalist way ๐Ÿ˜›
