Why do monogamists care so very much about polyamory?
Everyone just leave each other’s romantic lives alone. Your own should make sense to you, others’ don’t need to.

some poly people have a policy of not dating other people unless they are not only 1) poly but 2) have another partner (for extra stability), and the more people have a policy like that in a dating pool the harder it gets for mono and/or single people to date

tbf I see a *lot* of poly proselytizing and I think much of it is in response to that.

yeah didn't mean to imply i thought what i just said was the dominant effect, but it's the one that would affect me personally the most, as a person who wants to be (eventually) mono(ish)
