yeah but turns out it's probably bc autism + gender things and i will never grow out of it (not that i want to, imo it's toxic as fuck for people to act like it's wrong and bad to think you dont fit in)

i assume there's a specific type of person who's targeted by the meme and it doesnt apply to people who are genuinely different but i'd put money on it being weaponized way more often than trying to reel in someone who's cheating in intrasexual competition by faking preferences

hmm so afaik "not like other girls" is kind of a meme where it's assumed any girl who describes herself that way thinks she's better than other girls and is only pretending to be different so guys will like her
i get the impression they're viewed as cringe + traitors

and there are probably girls where that sentiment is accurate, or at least they're going through some kind of phase where they think they're different but dont realize that they *arent*
