I endorse the message, school bad, but I can't help wondering, bad for who, compared to what?
For the average person compared to existing alternatives, school is probably okay.
Make school good or replace it with something better gang doesn't sound so fun tho.

this is actually part of the structure of the thing - "we can't say that things are bad unless we have viable alternatives" prevents us from simply acknowledging that things are bad and changing them is hard

we can at least undo one layer of the gaslighting if we allow it to be okay to acknowledge, out loud, that school is insanely bad
reminds me of my thing where I'm like "capitalism is the best system we have and it is absolutely inadequate and failing us"
