the bitcoin whitepaper seems to say that the best part about crypto, its raison d'etre, is that you can send peer-to-peer transactions with no financial institution middleman

there are other reasons to like crypto; e.g. unlike USD, BTC can't be devalued by bad monetary policy, b/c the monetary policy of BTC is programmatically set in stone

ya, seems smart to move to crypto if your country has bad monetary policy
but what if your country has good monetary policy?? or do no countries fit that description?

well, i guess you could consider going hard into crypto a bet that your country already does or will have bad monetary policy, according to your values about monetary policy 😅

yeah makes sense. for context i'm bearish on usd. my money is mostly in stocks, with some crypto
