frustration = passion anger and adoration are both states of "arousal" (in the non-sexual sense, but here also in the sexual sense) the opposite of love isn't hate; it's apathy or indifference.

this, incidentally, is why the people who currently loathe JK Rowling the most are the same people who LOVED harry potter as a kid. much easier to go from love -> hatred than love -> not caring about something
