i can’t imagine how different the world would feel if even 20% of the ads i saw offered me anything i wanted. right now i’m at less than 1% pretty sure even when the ads are targeted. massively disappointing. motherfuckers should be good enough at ML to do better by now

I'm wondering - if there was a way to turn the problem around, having people use software to find relevant products and services rather than companies using software to appeal to potential customers, may that be a more efficient approach?

don't think it's just capitalism.... it's anything that doesn't provide enough resources to understand you. so anything that scales and also that neglectful parent.
