in my experience, it's really hard to productively collaborate with someone unless you're paying them. like obviously there are exceptions but it's hard to find someone worth trusting with something like equity in a project you're pursuing

someone being good at poasting is almost zero signal that they'd be good to work with
(this applies to more standard colleagues as well as biz partners actually)

the absolute worst position to be in is responsibility without authority. this is where you're stuck if you share ownership of a project that you care about, and the other person flakes or gets pigheaded about something ridiculous

worst-case scenario they actively torpedo instead of just being useless
so tl;dr it's riskier than it might seem at first glance, and working alone is less hassle in most cases.

yeah makes sense, appreciate the download. the right call may be people experiment with solo projects first idk. seems like there is some real appetite for more momentum towards doing the things you love for money kinda thing anyway, we will see where it goes!
