oh, i guess more specific than this: it viscerally confuses me when people are nice to me *after i have revealed myself to be incompetent*

you could choose to be confused by it, or you could just choose to be grateful that it’s happening at all and love those people back to the best of your ability to express your gratitude 😌
that’s what I did w all the confusion I felt about this!
