i really shouldâve emphasized the second and third parts of the question: how can you tell that youâre resting / relaxing and what does it feel like to rest relax, concretely?
e.g. âi feel at peace. there is no tension in my body. my chest and stomach feel warm. i feel lightâ
okay i tried lying in bed for an hour and a specific part of my right arm appears to have relaxed
one body part at a time
baby steps

Now I have the Whoop to tell me. Heart rate near resting after a 70% -80 % recovery night of sleep with HRV near the higher end.

i feel like i can stop entirely and do nothing
like i dont need to go anywhere, do anything, think anything
like i just lie and be at calm peace. like a cool blanket

Get real high. I don't think any activity other than drugs has given me that description.

High on what? Weed has always made me feel heavy, not light.

physical/emotional: the ever-present sense of urgency lightens or goes away. this corresponds to a lessening of the tension in my heart/solar plexus that extends out into my shoulders, also my hamstrings and hips. the physical tension never goes away afaict, but can go down a lot
