looking to crowdsource responses, RTs appreciated: what sorts of activities feel like “rest” or “relaxation” to you? how can you tell? what do “rest” and “relaxation” feel like to you? physically? emotionally?

i feel like i can stop entirely and do nothing like i dont need to go anywhere, do anything, think anything like i just lie and be at calm peace. like a cool blanket

physical/emotional: the ever-present sense of urgency lightens or goes away. this corresponds to a lessening of the tension in my heart/solar plexus that extends out into my shoulders, also my hamstrings and hips. the physical tension never goes away afaict, but can go down a lot

when I feel this way, and how reliable: - long runs .95 - CrossFit .9 - getting into playing with my kids .7 - after sex .8 - during meditation, esp "energy body" stuff .4 - Valium and similar 1 - muscle relaxants 1 - beach day .7 - pot .3 - alcohol .1
