looking to crowdsource responses, RTs appreciated: what sorts of activities feel like “rest” or “relaxation” to you? how can you tell? what do “rest” and “relaxation” feel like to you? physically? emotionally?

So for me specifically: games/TV/books but not for too long, journalling, gardening, cooking, sometimes cleaning, hands-on arts and crafts, singing, dancing... Because of my job I find it hard to find things that are intellectually strenuous restful, I think.

It's more the lack of accumulation of stress from going at the wrong pace that's relaxing in itself? I guess relaxation is just the absense of stress, in all sorts of ways
