remove all "should"s on a "day off" I might look super productive but it's only doing thing I wanna do in the moment sometimes I wanna sit around & watch TV; sometimes I wanna spend 12 hours making a thing either way stress goes way down & I feel better the longer I can do it

usually I already know (e.g. was thinking about it at work, looking forward to it, etc) but if not, can do some annealing-type search try small amts of things that are usually fun, pay attention to feeling (spark joy?), try longer & longer amts as resistance fades

My initial/current guess is that when we want something (concrete), we are 1) noting that simulating doing the thing feels pleasant, and 2) noticing inner preparations for actions toward achieving it. Wanting to swim: imagining it feeling good, and looking for good spots to enter
