weird and fun thing about focusing on money as a topic is that it’s engaging enough that most of my normal distractions feel boring by comparison - don’t wanna read tvtropes, don’t wanna read stackexchange, all that stuff feels like scattering my train of thought now

sadly also applies to half of my twitter TL - every tweet i read that isn’t about money feels like it’s also scattering my train of thought. like twitter is extra ADHD 😅
dream feature would be a way to temporarily filter out like 90% of non-money tweets 🤔

anyone know if there’s a chrome extension that can do something like that? filter the twitter TL by topic? (by *mood*???) if not, anyone up for making it? ?
i’m imagining the interface as like an equalizer but for topics / moods. “focusing the second brain”

if we assume one timeline (no tweetdeck) you can filter and you can sort, binary / continuous... what would be the right interface for those? "has the word(s)..." is the obvious filter condition but has clear drawbacks...

sort by (some linear combo of): time, sentiment, most like example1 least like example2, distance to me in interaction network...

I like the equalizer analogy bc you can have 100 tracks but in the end there's one song. if you came up with 100 differently filtered and sorted lists, you have to project then down into one timeline
right? or...stereo timelines??

personally i want one timeline and knobs / levers / whatever i can tune for that timeline
might want this for music too 🤔
+1 to one TL with knobs. can also create custom configs to revisit at various times
e.g. for different desired effects on mental state/motivation/etc. Twitter as psychoactive substance and/or prosthesis

my version of this lets me go down rabbit holes faster. roughly "here are clusters of tweets you recently liked. click on a cluster to make it your timeline" then be able to expand/contract by topic, network, sort by relevance vs time...
