weird and fun thing about focusing on money as a topic is that it’s engaging enough that most of my normal distractions feel boring by comparison - don’t wanna read tvtropes, don’t wanna read stackexchange, all that stuff feels like scattering my train of thought now

sadly also applies to half of my twitter TL - every tweet i read that isn’t about money feels like it’s also scattering my train of thought. like twitter is extra ADHD 😅
dream feature would be a way to temporarily filter out like 90% of non-money tweets 🤔

anyone know if there’s a chrome extension that can do something like that? filter the twitter TL by topic? (by *mood*???) if not, anyone up for making it? ?
i’m imagining the interface as like an equalizer but for topics / moods. “focusing the second brain”

okay hmm one of the several things i also want now is a clearer sense of what the marketable skills of various twitter peeps are, this is not something i have a clear sense of rn and it means i don’t know who to tag in what (yet!)

Yknow how they say its good to sell picks and shovels during a gold rush... what are some gold rushes currently underway or just about to start?
Eg I think I'm selling picks for the remote working rush

Yeah, same.

I've diagnosed my difficulty focusing on thinking about other ways of making money as stemming from low self-efficacy (confidence in this domain). The only way to defeat that barrier is experience. So I've made that my project lately.

So I decouple the result (making more money) from learning about different methods and taking initial steps, *but* I do so with the explicit (documented) aim of bringing in more $.
I have to decouple only temporarily. It's an important substep for me.
