you ever get emotional at scenes in a book where a character just like. stays over at someone’s place. for a while. and it’s just not a big deal? they just house em and feed em and no money changes hands and this is just normal?

I only first stayed at a hotel when I was like... 26... because I have very hospitable family all over the country! The exchange is that they get the same hospitality when they stay over 😊 It's like a long term social credit system and involving money would be crass
