the way i use the words is roughly like
smart : good at solving problems ::
wise : good at deciding which problems to solve
and i think you're pretty solid on both but esp. the latter!
sorry this feels like an understatement now that i reread it, i think you're *very* solid on both
there's a kind of quick-wittedness that i think people often refer to when they say "smart" that e.g. i have a lot of but that i have a lot of trouble aiming consistently
like i am very good at sounding very smart at a dinner party but that's a whole 'nother ball game from like being able to accomplish cool things with my life on a timescale longer than a day; wisdom much more important than raw intelligence per se for that kind of thing
the way i'm using the words, someone who's smart but not wise (e.g. me for vast majority of my life) can waste almost all their time solving the wrong problems. easy trap to fall into esp. when people pay you to fall into it
whereas - sorry, i left this implicit and forgot to say it out loud - lim i constantly see you doing super cool stuff with your life i’d have to work real hard to work up the courage to do
feel kinda like hermione talking to harry at the end of the sorcerer’s stone 😅
