oh, I think he meant that if they love humans they wouldn't want to work on AI. I'm sufficiently optimistic on this point that I didn't register that frame
I think AI is our best shot at giving everyone access to the entire life we already know is inside them -- they deserve it

Unlikely to work. Many AI people are motivated by the desire to change the world around them. For example, being happier yourself doesn't mean you don't want better AI for medical diagnostics.
