2/ By default, you’ll be building a nuclear family. Labor falls solely on you and one other inexperienced parent.
This is so hard as to be nearly impossible for ppl who want to accomplish real things in the world.

i don't necessarily have great insight into the lives of my acquaintances but i wouldn't say that any parents i know raise kids without heavy involvement from their parents and other family and friends

i found this a little hard to parse with the double negative, you mean the parents you know raise kids *with* heavy involvement from etc.?
sorry, yes, virtually all the young parents i can think of get other people heavily involved (mostly their family)
