The way he characterizes the limitations of meditation pains me, even though it’s an accurate characterization for meditation-minus-global-wayfinding. Kinda mixed branding for “meditation”(tm) though maybe net good for people, for those current limitations to be described.

I haven't read the email, but I did watch the inal ~16 minutes of his recent Guru Viking interview, which covers roughly the same points.
I felt really bad for him and hope he continues to sort things out.

And for that reason among others, I'm reluctant to say what I think. On the other hand, I think it's important that it be said somehow (ideally without reference to him, but here we are).
