this is a really long story btw. after i'd been in the bay area rationalist ecosystem for awhile i was then sucked into a *second, smaller cult* inside it consisting of people who were dissatisfied with the rationalist ecosystem, who wanted to explore feelings and magic twitter.com/QiaochuYuan/st…

that was probably one of the top 3 decisions i made in 2019. malcolm explicitly told me to join for the postrat scene and i'm really glad he did. it was amazing to find so many people willing to talk about all the stuff i wanted to talk about (which was feelings! feeeeeelings)

twitter has been and continues to be an incredible outlet for me to talk about things i didn't feel like i could talk about with anyone around me IRL and i'm very grateful to all of you for keeping this part of it warm and friendly and insightful. please keep it up ❤️
