I don't know! it happened a lot though like the time I swallowed a nickel even after being told I could choke I didn't want to tell my parents, because I thought I would get in trouble, even though I was pretty sure I was going to die just calmly accepted my fate

yeah, I'm not sure one can actually keep kids from feeling wounded by parental frustration, anger, or disappointment but my hope is that negative parental feelings feel less like a sword of damocles to my kids
