update on this: Bellevue schools (this district is literally across the street from me) went back to school today with all union teachers replaced by substitutes For one 2nd grade class, the school principal was the sub b/c they didn't have enough subs

This part makes me pretty upset tho The teachers union is threatening to stop *online* instruction as a punishment to the school district and parents who want their kids in school

The school district is taking the teachers to court to try to get them to teach in-person classes. That is not going well as the commissioner basically said "hey, as long as they are willing to teach remote, you can't make them teach in person"
