i guess it's like... i know i often get good results when i feel "on" in a particular way, and i oscillate between feeling "on" and not and idk how to like... be consistently "on" enough to feel like i'm doing right by clients?

- Systematize your basic emotional tools (especially grounding & being kind to yourself), and practice them ***yourself*** til they're totally habit / reflex / non-challenging

as a data point, a coach that i was working with did this to me once and i was totally fine with it and happy that she was taking care of herself (only once, out of like ~15 sessions total maybe)

fyi i rebelled against all of my own techniques over the last 8 weeks and i probably could've handled that better but i think there was something good about it. they were getting faker and more coercy and i needed to get back in touch with a realer version of them
