fucking hell you guys i hit 195lb deadlift for the first time on october 12th and i told myself i’d poast once i hit 200lb and then i fucked up and took too many breaks and got weaker and only just managed to get past 195 six weeks later yeesh

Same thing happened right before I broke my first 225 in bench (the feel-good one since it’s 4*45 + 45), took like 2 months to get back, and then I got a rotator cuff injury immediately

protip: stronglifts isn't a great routine, not even for beginners. r/fitness has the best explanation here thefitness.wiki/faq/starting-s but in short it focuses too much on squat and not enough on other lifts, among other issues
