My experience is whatever reductionism you do (finance, physiology, social dynamics), skilled practitioners are going to end up with a "charge-discharge" model to capture the "physics" of it one level above the atomic ones. My craziest claim is that people will collectively...

... find a more expressive "level" above Western medicine that will be basically Traditional Chinese Medicine woo stuff because they think in terms of "charge-discharge" mechanics and that's much more visualizable and practical than thinking of things in units of compounds

Totally. I think TCM is like a mediation between the statistically conservative western medicine trying to say (weak) things about what works for all people and the kind of people that only does what works for *them*, so it ends up with things that mostly work for Chinese people
