having a problem involving my mouse, maybe one of you can help? rn it scrolls in the opposite direction i want it to. the problem is that the only setting i can find for inverting this (i'm on a macbook air running mojave) also inverts multi-touch gestures which also sucks

I assume you mean mouse, and not trackpad, in which case, system prefs>trackpad>scroll and zoom

oh yeah i should've mentioned i tried that already. that setting is secretly the same as the mouse setting! they can't be toggled independently! god knows why!
