it’s interesting to consider the role of gender in the character archetypes of Terry and Rosa. Terry is the big, tall muscular behemoth of a man who’s a total softie. Rosa is a murderous flower. Imagine gender-swapping the characters- it would be less compelling, too flat

it actually bothers me that the characters wouldn't work if they were gender-swapped and i'm trying to see if i can articulate why without sounding like an asshole

i think what bothers me is: i feel like terry and rosa are both *female* fantasies "what if the big scary tough guy was actually a softie" "what if i could express as much anger and hardness as i felt"

My nerdy conspiracy theory around this is that in the MCU the Hulk's anger issues are completely nerfed, because Angry Man Bad, and the Angry Character slot gets replaced by Nebula, because Angry Woman Ok
