had a conversation with a friend once about how many numbers we had personally verified existed by counting up to them and he said once as a teenager he counted up to several thousand or something just to double-check they were all there

There is a 1-1 correspondence between 100 (or 101, depending on your mood) bits on a computer and 2^100.

I think this makes it real but could be wrong. 2^10^81 starts getting fuzzy tho (when you are using elementary particles to represent binary states).
