I assume these are extreme cases but ?? I’m curious about the prevalence & size of this subset.

Not sure! Rigor is hard, and as points out, these paragraphs also still leave the correlation vs. causation q.
I feel trusting of this author though - her opening story of disillusionment with the medical system, + seeking gold in RCTs, etc, resonates with me.
