Anime Twitter, I need your guidance. After 33 years of not engaging with anime, I have now been anime-pilled via Death Note, which is incredible (I have not yet finished, please don't spoil). So... where do you recommend I go from here? I will collate and share answers.

A quick review of why you should watch each. Attack on Titan is intense and desperate. People get eaten alive. Humanity has its back against the wall. People must fight giant monsters to survive. Not many do. The plot is extremely rewarding, biggest payoff of any show ever.

Your Lie in April is about depression, friendship, connection. It is very sad. Knowing it is very sad will not prevent you from becoming Very Very Sad. It is emotionally impactful, and the scenes about friendship hit hard.

My Hero Academia is sort of like X-Men but with teenagers. It's incredibly creative and fun, with some of the most hype fighting scenes out there. The characters are very colorful and lively, and it's easy to get into.

Squeezing One Punch Man in here because I forgot to mention it. This is basically the anime gateway drug. Action-packed, hilarious. A dude is so powerful he becomes depressed, nothing interests me. And yet it never gets tiring to see him defeating foes with one punch. wonderful

Hunter x Hunter is much longer than most. It's about striving with all your spirit for what you believe in. The time spent between killua and gon results in a relationship unlike any other in the medium. Extremely varied, Chimera Arc is a very rewarding finale.
