attempting to reinvent cleaning my room from first principles

the main thing i’m noticing is i want things to be out of sight when i don’t need to be reminded that they exist
which is tough when this room doesn’t have a closet 😔

but it’s nice that the whole thing can be a lot more asynchronous and bottom-up than the sort of stereotype
i don’t have to do it all at once and i don’t really have to have a plan, i can attend to the room and notice what wants to happen organically

my main room-cleaning principle is to define a neutral state of the room, and then Simply always return it to that state 😆

My typical process involves noticing how I'd like to feel, and then contrasting that with how the room makes me feel right now.
