So I was watching videos on Dante's inferno last night, and apparently there is no circle or hell representing sloth.
All the other sins have their own layer, not sloth though.
Any idea why that might be?

Wrong store. You want Purgatorio, 4th floor, not Inferno. P4 is where you got your Acedia, plus your Zeal, the counterexample.

Ah thanks. I didn't get this far. This is exactly what I needed. Gonna go look into this.

Theological rationale: purgatory is roots or motives of sin--you cd go acedia, bad, or zeal, preferable but still not "good." Hell is for actual evil deeds like betrayal, heresy, murder, etc.
