I'm building an interactive explainer to make music theory simple enough for anyone to learn with minimal effort.
I would love your feedback!

hey this is dope! slight nitpick near the beginning - the thing about frequency ratios is subtle, it turns out it’s specific to instruments with overtones that are integer multiples of a fundamental frequency (e.g. woodwinds and string instruments) and there are others
this is explained together with a bunch of other cool stuff in this very sexy book: homepages.abdn.ac.uk/d.j.benson/pag

there are instruments like the mbira that have non-integer overtones and you can also make synthetic sounds with arbitrary overtones and it turns out for those you don’t need harmonies to have integer ratios, what you need is for the overtones to mostly match up
