i don’t think i’ve actually told this story anywhere in writing, so: the reason my math blog is called ā€œannoying precisionā€ is that when i was 15 i went to a math camp and the head instructor, glenn stevens, said in the intro lecture ā€œmathematicians are annoyingly preciseā€

it depends on what you mean by ā€œmoreā€! the squares have e.g. natural density 0 which is a decent way to formalize the intuitive idea that they get more and more sparse ā€œmoreā€ can just mean a lot of things. there’s a reason my math blog is called ā€œannoying precisionā€
just realized this tweet is slightly ambiguous and can be read as saying the camp lasted 4 days. the camp was 6 weeks long and that was long enough to learn lots of new exciting things like how to get away with only doing laundry once in 6 weeks
