muscle tension is in some sense a sign of internal conflict, possibly at a very low level. it means parts of you are disagreeing about how to actuate your muscles

I found that dancing, even silly home made versions, puts my body in a state of playful control which tends to drop tension (unless it's part of a move obvs)
