at the very least it's a very cool observation that you can get either QM or GR as limiting behaviors of something (assuming the details work out which i of course have not checked). very much into this "emergent space" thing he mentions towards the end also

I can't let go of the thought: what if we're probing the limits, not of reality itself, but of understanding? QM and GR are both ideas that can exist in whatever mathematical space ideas live in; but they also correspond to external reality. maybe we've reached the limit...

of how well a model in idea-space can model reality? like, if NN are acceptable approximations of brains, then "human model of reality is modelable by NN" shouldn't be surprising, but rather, always true?
