alright, alright, here's a thing that's not fucked up: if you're in the mood for fantasy but, like, good, read daniel abraham's long price quartet. it's 4 books spaced 14 years apart and you get to see characters go from being young hotheads to old parents, it's awesome

also there's a pretty great "magic system" that is basically turning abstract concepts into demons and forcing them to do your bidding. and lots of feelings and crying which is always nice. really solid series all around, maybe in my top 5, and it's *finished*

daniel abraham wrote another series i like a lot called the dagger and the coin which i am probably going to reread next. everything that's cool about this series is a spoiler unfortunately

Ya, I just read the first one here, Dragon's Path.
The rec I got for it was: fantasy fic with a lot of banking. Intrigued.
I want to get into the rest of this series soon.
Had to take a break and read some other non-fic.
