feels like i’m getting away with something by talking about math on here. like it’s... not fair to everyone else somehow? 🤔 something i don’t like about the idea of having a conversation “in public” with a potentially really high barrier to entry
Conversation
one of the nice things about talking about feelings and childhoods and shit is literally everyone has feelings and literally everyone had a childhood, they’re universal
meanwhile when it comes to math some of you are / were grad students and some of you have math anxiety 😔

there’s something i like about the idea of bringing to twitter this more technical side of myself i’ve been leaving out and/but also i don’t wanna make people feel excluded or inadequate if i don’t have to. hmm. thoughts?

Post about it! I think people playing it small because someone else might feel bad is a approximately force for evil in the world?

Not that you’d be being evil or anything. And I definitely don’t always follow my own advice.
But... I don’t know I feel quite strongly about something here.

Oh also, just as an intuition pump, I’d be curious what comes up for you if you imagine a woman feeling the way you described in your tweet (and expressing it)
