anyone wanna talk about how applying the central limit theorem to a random walk in 2D reproduces the euclidean metric starting from a *grid* it’s fucked up and wrong and i’m still trying to figure out what it means

Me too. My brain works much less well than it did a decade ago. Now I still get intuitions that there’s an interesting question in some direction, but suck at thinking through it clearly

i meant more along the lines of: i got tired of never getting any good answers so i stopped asking the question some formulae are just so *wrong* and i never got to a point where they felt right there was a 1/pi instead of pi* in some QM formula and it drove me NUTS
