my current guess (loosely held) is it has something to do with biological mechanisms changing how babies behave depending on what season they end up born in (which suggests astrology should be less true of anyone who experienced a lot of endocrine disruption in the womb)

Most obvious thing is Ramadan and how sensitive fetuses are to the uterine environment and nutrition and there's dozens of studies but nobodyyyyy wants to touch thaaaaaat one

the Islamic calendar doesn't line up with the Gregorian one, so Ramadan usually falls under different signs on different years
and even besides that, the Quran forbids astrology
