my current guess (loosely held) is it has something to do with biological mechanisms changing how babies behave depending on what season they end up born in (which suggests astrology should be less true of anyone who experienced a lot of endocrine disruption in the womb)
that plus an amplifying effect where the more you believe in astrology the more true it becomes for at least you and maybe also the people close to you idk
