i mute the shit out of things that makes me mad for the most part so twitter can be a happy place for me, makes a huge difference

yeah maybe i just need to do another purge 🤔 it’s unfortunate because there are mutuals i like a lot who interact with content i’d rather not see on the TL

by mute i mean i make extensive use of mutewords, not (just) people. i almost always max out the 200-word muteword limit on my main account. i mute everything pandemic related, all us politics, all us activism.

i get it. for me, by the time i started this system (about, uh, 18 months ago, give or take) i was so fed up with my timeline being just utterly depressing that it was just a giant relief
