chladni figures are the best. i wonder why more sand concentrates in some parts of the nodal set, maybe it's from where the sand is sprinkled, or bc of the way it's implemented?

presumably it also partly depends on how much the amplitude of the wave increases in a neighborhood of the nodal lines?
