it's legitimately - stay with me a minute here, i mean this - it's legitimately fucked up how i am simultaneously very smart and a huge dumbass, and i actually don't know how to integrate both of those into a coherent understanding of myself as a person

they simply have nothing to do with each other — not every action you take can be done brainfully, but sometimes that's a good thing, like in athletic endeavors. 'Flow', too, is automatic. Auto tracks sometimes turn out dumbly. That's just life! Can find humor in it, if you try.

i don't think i really had the boasting option available. it was more like "here figure out how to do this technical thing that person X can't do," i'd do it with ease, and then smile, stand up and walk directly into a closed door or something like that
