hmm it’s like the difference between being a neglectful and distant parent and being a stable but attuned parent, to yourself
Dissociation means you don't recognize the feeling as originating from you. Treating it as an object means you recognize it as originating from you, but don't consider it important to your present, your identity, or your potential actions unless you choose to engage it.
