other players seem to quickly slip into a genre that seems well-suited to them; is it capable of inferring desirable storytelling decisions from a few prompts?

its mind-reading abilities are rather lacking when it comes to making it write porn; while its prose is good enough for most, it can't execute "rough but non-degrading" well, probably for lack of training data that isn't laden with internalized shame :(

forced to conclude that my reality distortion field works on AI Dungeon too
it takes like one prompt mentioning what an egregore is for this thing to start speaking my particular flavor of insanity

fwiw someone prompted GPT-3 (not AI dungeon, i don’t think) with some of my tweets and it generated content very close to other tweets of mine even though they were quite different from the prompted tweets, so i think esoteric twitter, etc. is in the training data
